Yoga props provide not only support but also important feedback that inform, refine, and enhance asanas (postures). In these classes, we go beyond the block and strap and utilize the yoga chair to dissect and illuminate the alignment of a variety of postures (standing, seated, backbends, inversions, restorative). Class may also include postures independent of the chair, as well as pranayama, mantra, and meditation for a well-rounded practice.
This workshop is designed for intermediate practitioners with a developing inversion and backbend practice. (Please be comfortable going upside down). Space is limited. Sign up in advance to reserve your chair!
February 2nd: Focus on mobilization of the lower abdominal area to relieve tightness in the lower back and hips.
February 9th: Focus on promoting expansion and vitality in the chest cavity to nurture and protect the lungs and heart.
February 16th: Focus on cervical spine and head to stimulate the lymphatic system and increase mobility in the neck.
